Ranking Event 9 - Results

Dundonald International Ice Bowl

Today's winner in the U24 section was Grant Dugan (1580, 197.50 average) taking his second win of the season. Grant was followed by David Seay in 2nd place (1476, 184.50 average) with Zara Payne in 3rd place (1403, 175.38 average).

In the U19's section Zara Payne (1603 inc. 25 hcap, 200.38 average) took her second event win of the season. Scott Horton followed in 2nd place (1530 inc. 63 hcap, 191.25 average).

Congratulations to this season's champions David Seay (YAC) and Zara Payne (U19s).

Brunswick Superbowl

Today's winner in the U24 section was David Seay (1488, 186.00 average) taking his seventh win of the season. David narrowly defeated Grant Dugan in 2nd place by 1 pin (1487, 185.13 average) with Kelly McDowell in 3rd place (1284, 160.50 average).

In the U19's section Kelly McDowell (1668 inc. 48 hcap, 208.50 average) took her second event win of the season. Zara Payne was 2nd (1441 inc. 26 hcap, 180.13 average) with Scott Horton in 3rd place (1423 inc. 66 hcap, 177.88 average).

The next event will take place in the Dundonald International Ice Bowl on 10th May at 9.30am.

Brunswick Superbowl

Today's winner in the U24 section was David Seay (1533, 191.63 average) taking his sixth win of the season. David was followed by Grant Dugan in 2nd place (1389, 173.63 average) with Zara Payne in 3rd place (1296, 162.00 average).

In the U19's section Kelly McDowell (1599 inc. 48 hcap, 199.88 average) took her first event win of the season. Scott Horton was 2nd (1577 inc. 70 hcap, 197.13 average) with Zara Payne in 3rd place (1520 inc. 28 hcap, 190.00 average).

The next event will take place in the Brunswick Superbowl on 19th April at 9.30am.

Saturday Morning Junior League - Results

The first Saturday Morning Junior League at Dundonald Ice Bowl for 2008 reached its climax last month and we had a number of winners picking up a range of prizes.

These include:

High Game Scratch - Ross Wightman
High Game Handicap - Sam Donnan
High Series Scratch - Carter Bryson
High Series Handicap - Nathan Chan
Most Improved Bowler - Stephen Lynas

The Winners and Runners-Up in the league were:

Handicap Section Champion - Shania Dunbar
Handicap Section Runner-Up - Ryan Smith

Scratch Section Champion - Zara Payne
Scratch Section Runner-Up - Jonny Reid

Congratulations to all the winners. Thanks go to the parents who come along every Saturday to bowl with the Juniors and Karen Payne who organised the league and coached the Juniors every Saturday.

The Junior League for 2009 commenced on 7th February and will run for 20 weeks. Any interested players should contact Eddie Best at the Dundonald International Ice Bowl.

Today's winner in the U24 section was David Seay (1507, 188.38 average) taking his fifth win of the season. David was followed by Grant Dugan in 2nd place (1473, 184.13 average) with Zara Payne in 3rd place (1346, 168.25 average).

In the U19's section Zara Payne (1578 inc. 29 hcap, 197.25 average) took her first event win of the season. Jonny Reid was 2nd (1482 inc. 35 hcap, 185.25 average) with Scott Horton in 3rd place (1362 inc. 65 hcap, 170.25 average).

The next event will take place in the Brunswick Superbowl on 8th March at 9.30am.

Today's winner in the U24 section was David Seay (1534, 191.75 average) taking his fourth win of the season after finishing with two 240+ games. David was followed by Grant Dugan in 2nd place (1465, 183.13 average) with Lauren Dugan in 3rd place (1408, 176.00 average).

In the U19's section Jonny Reid (1593 inc. 38 hcap, 199.13 average) took his second event win of the season. Zara Payne was 2nd (1495 inc. 23 hcap, 186.88 average) with Scott Horton in 3rd place (1398 inc. 62 hcap, 174.75 average).

The next event will take place in the Odyssey Bowl, Belfast on 8th February at 9.30am.

Today's winner in the U24 section was Grant Dugan (1345, 168.13 average) taking his first win of the season by making up more than a 40 pin deficit going into the final game to narrowly take the win by 2 pins. Grant was closely followed by David Seay in 2nd place (1343, 167.88 average) with Zara Payne in 3rd place (1329, 166.13 average).

In the U19's section Scott Horton (1605 inc. 58 hcap, 200.63 average) took his second event win of the season. Zara Payne was 2nd (1577 inc. 31 hcap, 197.13 average) with Jonny Reid in 3rd place (1339 inc. 32 hcap, 167.38 average).

The next event will take place in the Dundonald International Ice Bowl on 11th January at 9.30am.

In the U19's section Kathryn Lynas (1519 inc. 69 hcap, 194.25 average) took her first event win of the season. Jonny Reid was 2nd (1501 inc. 32 hcap, 189.25 average) with Zara Payne in 3rd place (1378 inc. 13 hcap, 166.88 average).

In the U19's section Jonny Reid (1554 inc. 43 hcap, 194.25 average) took his first event win of the season. Zara Payne was 2nd (1514 inc. 27 hcap, 189.25 average) with Scott Horton in 3rd place (1335 inc. 64 hcap, 166.88 average).

2007/2008 National Ranking Tour Champions - Presentation
21st September 2008

Following the conclusion of the first ranking event of the 2008/2009 the trophy presentation was made to last season's champions. Congratulations to Grant Dugan in the U24 YAC section and Zara Payne in the U19 Junior section. Grant was presented the U24 Trophy by NITBF Vice President Allen Sinton and Zara was presented the new U19 Trophy (Kindly donated by JuniorBowling.co.uk) by past junior champion David Seay.

Junior Bowling at Dundonald International Ice Bowl

Junior bowling sessions are run every Saturday morning from 10.30am to 12.30pm at the Dundonald International Ice Bowl. The session costs £5 per person.

These sessions are used as practice for current junior players and offer beginners the chance to learn with current Northern Ireland FIC squad members and Eddie Best (Ice Bowl staff) on hand to help out.
